Most of the people go for the Lasik surgery for better and clear eye vision and importantly to get rid of the eyeglasses and contact lens. And there are very frequent doubts about how early and how slow the regular activities have to be started, after undergoing the Lasik surgery. And cooking is one of such doubts. It is important to know when to cook after the Lasik surgery, because cooking is like dealing with heat.
Usually, after the Lasik surgery, sufficient time has to be given until the vision becomes clear. In most of the cases, it takes a day or two to reach this state. Since, cooking is dealing with the eyes and eyes absorb the heat faster, at least two days of time has to be given after the surgery. And to protect from the heat to come in contact with the eyes, it is important to protect the eyes by wearing the sun glasses or transparent glasses. This arrangement is needed only during the first few days after the Lasik surgery. After you feel comfortable with the vision, you can stop using the glasses, while cooking.
Not only cooking, the other activities also have to be consciously performed. In case of cooking, going out and moving around the dusty areas, wearing the sun glasses or normal glasses is important, to protect the eyes from the heat and dust. No matter whether you go out or not, the eyes must be lubricated on regular basis, at least 4 times a day and till the number of times, specified by the Lasik surgeon. After the Lasik surgery dryness of the eye is the common symptom and to get rid of the same condition, one has to go through this process of lubricating the eyes is significant.
So, continue to wear the glasses after couple of days after the Lasik surgery and keep lubricating the eyes frequently, as suggested by the Lasik surgeon. Apart from these two precautions, one has to consciously avoid some strenuous activities, such as swimming, playing outdoor games, etc.
